• What should I do if I find watr leaking from a radiator?
  If you find a radiator leaking then the best thing to do is turn off the valves at each end of the unit. Once this has been done try and locate where the water is coming from, then put a container or old towel down to catch the water. If the water is leaking before the valve, then turn the central heating off, to prevent the pump from adding pressure to the leak.
• What is the most common thing that stops my central heating from working?
  The most common problem which is faced when attending properties, is the overall system pressure. All systems have a means of topping up the system, which in general should be 1.5 bar. This assists the pump and aids circulation around the entire central heating system. This should be topped up around every eight weeks.
• How do I know if my system has an air lock or blockage?
  Airlocks and blockages are quite common in systems and can be found in varous ways. The most common way to identify a blockage, is if you find one or two radiators on the system not warming up. Airlocks commonly appear on re-filling the system after a drain down, or accumilate at the top of the system bringing everything to a hault.
• How do I bleed my radiators and when will i know they need this?
  Usually if you feel the top of a radiator and find that it's cold, then the system may need the air removed. You will need to top up the system pressure, then go around every radiator and bleed the air out until water is present at the vent. Best procedure is to start from the bottom, to the top of the house, topping up as needed.
