• How long should my boiler last?
  Boiler manufacturers all give different warranties, so there is no easy answer to that question. As an example to this question, Vaillant offer a ten year warranty with their own filter and regular servicing. In respect of this your boiler will need to be serviced yearly and system water cleaned regularly. It's always best practice to follow the manufacturers guidlines, to acheive best performance.
• Why is it important to fit filters on the system pipework?
  Itds important to fit system filters as they protect the boilers heat exchangers from becoming blocked. Primary water from your main is classed as hard water, hence limescale can block the primary heat exchanger. The central heating system has a magnetic filter to remove magnemite from the system, hence preventing a main heat exchanger blockage.
• If I have dirt in my system, will this damage the new boiler.
  If your having a new boiler fitted, it is essential that a powerflush is carried out to remove all dirt and debris. Once this system is cleaned and replenished with clean water, an inhibitor is added to prevent the sludge building process from starting. This enables the system to work efficiently without issues.
• What documentation should I expect with my newly installed boiler?
  When you have a new boiler installed, your installer is responsible for registering your boiler. Once registered with the manufacturer they will be able to choose your warranty and paperwork can be generated. You sould expect a full receipt, building regulations compliance certificate, benchmark certificate and warranty letter.
